magic in a convenient, reusable jar

allo all and tgif!  i hope you left your week in the dust and are looking toward the weekend. i’m counting my blessings as it’s been a traumatic day for the world and my prayers go out to everyone in japan who’ve been affected by the earthquake.

i never know what i’m posting till i get here and just now came across these spellbinding images.

isn’t it amazing what you can do with a jar and a little ingenuity?

not to mention a good photographer?

the simple jar is such a marvel. what it can hold, possess, really, is infinite

from sand to glitter to the birth of a bud

sometimes the best things in life are simple and uncomplicated

i’m sure you have a jar around and i do too. what wishes would you fill it with?

well i’m out, for the night, heading to nyc for the really big shoe this week and hoping it all comes together. maybe you can sprinkle some fairy dust in my corner? have a wonderful weekend my darling friends!

Love the 4th and 6th photos best. Actually have a small selection of wee bottles with French language labels that sit on a shelf and look special. Here in the CA Sierras people love to get permission to dig on old homesteads where out houses were because in the 1800’s old glass bottles were often dumped in the outhouse when empty. And because of sitting in the soil for so many years the red and blue bottles turn a lighter shade or pink and blue and are so pretty.
