working overtime
hi and happy wednesday, how’s your week going? we’re deep into the middle of may and i’m not sure if it’s just in our genetic makeup but i’ve had a bit of spring fever lately, have you felt it too?
i’ve been working hard on everything from health to business and enjoy seeing little changes that are small and steady as well as things that happen immediately.
for the past few days i’ve been trying to conquer and divide my office space. pinterest is such a blessing and a curse. it’s great for inspiration but can bring out feelings of failure when looking at my own home or office!
so i indulged this morning in a bit of the inspiration aspect and have decided that organizing and beautifying the office is next on the agenda.
it’s such a peek into someone’s private world when you step into their office even in a photo.
i’m grateful these workaholics had the time to step away from whatever they were working on to take these great shots and offer tips on helping keep it together.
having pretty bins, cups, baskets and shelves is half the battle.
why shouldn’t the office be as cool and fun as any other room? instead mine has turned into the one that needs to have the door kept closed!
well, that was yesterday, today is a new story!
how do you stay organized?
liz got these great cabinets at ikea. for her they’re perfect for large photos. a new filing cabinet is at the top of my list.
so charming and creative!
do you have a moodboard?
what’s your style? there were so many gorgeous offices that i had to stop myself from adding to this but i’m torn between cluttered and simple…i love them both!
i really enjoyed seeing people work in their creative spaces.
it really should be a place that’s humming with inspiration, not room to keep bolted shut.
i thought papers were my biggest issue to tackle but i’m starting to think it’s my inspiration wall. time to redo that!
what are you working on in your office?
any tips for keeping organized? i hope you have a great rest of the week, i’ll keep you posted on my progress and may even take a couple of before and after shots. once i get the papers off my desk that is…for now, it’s back to work!

Claudia you have shown a plethora of ways to be organized. My dilemma is paperwork. I am trying to simply toss whatever I can after it is handled! Eliminate excess!

Some beautiful offices here! I really love old things so my style is more French vintage – I shared my home office on my blog a few weeks ago and although there’s beautiful light and nice vintage pieces (mostly in wood), I think I wouldn’t mind going clean and white too. It’s a really appealing look.

i think both are good if there is organization. i love the french vintage too but am trying to streamline the office so there’s no distraction from clutter.

So focused on my “office”, too, Claudia! I just have a desk, but yesterday I took all the cute stuff off of it and put it the way I have really wanted it for a long time: one plant, one lamp, my laptop, and a pile of aqua-colored glass from the creek in my neighborhood. It is so restful. Thanks for the post about offices! I enjoyed looking at other people’s workspaces.

Ahhh! So much wonderful inspiration! I’m actually working on my desk decor this weekend, so this is perfect. Had to move the desk back to our room as we turn the spare room into the baby room ;-)
