a grain of sand

good morning and happy saturday! what are you doing this weekend? i have a lot on the docket but behind the scenes it’s a completely different story. instead of rushing, multi tasking and continuing to spend, work and eat without mindfulness i am consciously trying to slow life down. are you studying or contemplating anything in particular? for me it’s been the study of life itself. finding my ‘inner kid’, finding beauty in the smallest of things. life is always going to be slightly frenetic but i’d like to stay in the calm and master my little world so that it works just how i want it to. we can’t control everything but we can control our actions and thoughts. well, that’s what i’m going to try to do today anyway. hope your day is full of joy and wonder!

To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour. -William Blake

Slowing life down is my goal for the year… I’ve taken a leave from work, am in process of downsizing to a smaller more manageable place, my daughters have moved out to be grown up and my two year old twins grand babies have moved in part time. Your blog is so inspiring, as always thanks!

hooray! another post, on the general topic of, learning to take better care of ourselves. i’m doing them myself (don’t.feel.guilty… and noticed a trend… ), and finding them in many places in pretty blog land. and this makes me so happy!

thank you for adding yours, to the growing trend.

I am in my final semester of law school(while working full time) – so today I am working on writing a final paper. After the paper is done I have to study for one exam – then its graduation and three months of studying for the bar exam! Once I have crossed that off the list – I hope to slow down a bit…although my husband doesn’t believe that will ever happen and my daughter cannot fathom mommy being home after work or on the weekends!

I am finally getting some “moi” time. It was a grueling week last week but I promised myself not to dwell on frustrating situations. Big sigh and I am creating all day today. Happy indeed.
