what makes a great vignette

good morning gang! how’s your week going so far? we’re running around getting ready for a photo shoot on friday and monday.
in the meantime we’ve got to shoot at home a little but even though it’s filled with pretty things it’s sort of hard for me to capture what i want in my own place.
fortunately there’s an endless source of inspiration out there! i think you know where i go by now but if not…it’s pinterest! i’m studying the creativity of the settings combined with the science of photography and hopefully will come up with some good images of my own today.

Thanks for the photos. Sometimes picking out what to put on TOP of furniture is more difficult than picking out the furniture itself. But you provided some great ideas.

A piece of translucent furniture was right up around the top of my wish list, Claudia, but now I want exactly those ones in your first photo! And the light is amazing, too.

Those vintage monogrammed linens are to die for… And the wood floor in the 2nd picture is amazing — ANYTHING would look great on that floor. Happy photo shooting!

Hi Claudia. One of my favorite vignettes is your petit chandelier I bought from OKL hanging from a pole between two Swedish grey chairs in my living room. I will have to post the photo as is…even though it needs to get hung in my daughter’s room, eventually! Merci…Trish
