a fine line

hey darlings, how’s everything? i hope you’re happily balancing between working and chilling.  i’m trying to blur the line between work and play this new year. today i’m sorting through years of photos and the learning curve for iphoto is darn steep. in fact it’s is the bane of my existence but i love mac so there must be a reason for such a complicated system. the good news is that i’m discovering all sorts of pics like the one above. only thing is i have no clue where it’s from and actually never even saw it before. it was in my iphoto. see? do you happen to know who it is? he just seemed to capture my mood tonight.

anyway, i just wanted to stop by and send love from chilly nyc and wish you the happiest new year ever and all the best for 2012!

Wow, he looks like a decorator who is fine being home alone. Happy solitude is what I see here. I can feel his passion for decorating and then his passion for down time. Sweet, I love it.

    Happy New Year Claudia. *Rhonda*

creativelive.com has an inexpensive webinar class on iphoto (you will learn about keywords, that will help you so much!). I have learned alot from the site.

BTW, you have been through alot recently and I hope you will cheer up when you watch this video of a beautiful fall wedding… http://vimeo.com/34421830
Some of the beautiful things you have posted were part of our inspiration board for the 1930s dress I made for my daughter’s wedding. I took a few photos myself of the wedding. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vintagedesignsmith/sets/72157628177034537/
Thank you so much for your inspiration!

Oh, my! I love this whole scene: the sconces, the couch, the ottoman…
What makes this images especially interesting is that a very chic man is chillin’ on the couch in such a feminine setting!

It reminds we of Sebastian from Brideshead Revisited! Hmm, Stephen Tennant? Gerald Murphy? Noel Coward? He looks amazing whoever he is!!

My first impression of this photo is that the gentleman is relaxing while waiting for a woman or even a child to get ready. There is a toy stuffed dog on the floor. Darling photo and I love the room and this mystery man.
