pretty simple

thepioneerwoman.com

hi guys, how’s everything? it’s been a couple busy days at mom and dad’s and the good news is that he’s coming home on thursday!

saraspartyperfect

i can hardly keep up with mom who’s been doing everything from making pasta to taking doors down. she puts me to shame in the energy department. it’s all i can do to blog but did want to stop by and share some pretty pics from pinterest. the talent of these everyday photogs never ceases to amaze me.

i’m into super simple stuff right now, probably cause i’m on overload. these shots just reminded me that it doesn’t take much to make a big impact.

it’s almost midnight and we have to get up early to do a little training for when dad gets back. truth is he’ll do whatever the heck he wants but at least we’ll have some tricks up our sleeves for keeping him steady and stuff. believe it or not this sailor, archer and motorcyclist will be using a walker for awhile.

    Claudia,
Best wishes. I know what you are going through. My mom is temporarily doing the walker dance as well. At least our parents can be home and mobile.
Sometimes I think that aging gracefully means that one is open to adjustments. Oftentimes the change is not to our liking.

oddly enough, i met sophie at the paris flea market in her little boutique–on dec 4, the day of your post about her. she had told me that you just took pictures, so i finally got around to looking up your blog (which i had in my favoites list!). anyway, i thought her patchwork sofa and transferred and painted curtains were lovely and creative. will enjoy following your blog and if i choose to take a job that will place me in paris 8 weeks a year, we will definitely have to take a hot chocolate together at angelina’s!

Seriously? Your mom is taking DOORS DOWN on Christmas Eve? Is this to make room for the walker, or does she get the urge to scrape paint and refinish the woodwork at this time of year?

I love Paris and I’ve put you on my favourite blogs list. Just check out my blog. anatole france, the great french writer has given a masterly description of the french sky in his novel “le crime de Sylvester Bonnard”. When I first read that description I had the same perceptions that I had felt during my visits to Paris.
    keep sharing your ideas!!!!
