one of a kind love affair
it never ceases to amaze me, the boudoir. you can look through a catalog and choose any living room and most people could be perfectly happy with the basics of pottery barn or williams sononma. (ok not you, most people)! but the bedroom is super special, so distinct, unique and personal with all its detail and intimacy. every one tells a story of its owner, who she is and what she’s all about. i just never get tired of looking at them! here are a few of my faves from last week’s dip into the inspiration pool. it really feeds my voyeuristic side! these are all from one place, livingetc.com. have you been there? i never had. it’s pretty spellbinding. hope you enjoy them as much as i did!
sigh, so many personalities, if only i had a guest room too…guess i better work on my bedroom first!
and for all my surfing, i did feel a little guilty till i was validated by this creative philosopher:
oh and speaking of creative girls, please welcome megan from paper route to tpa’s family of sponsors! she creates fabulous cards for all occasions and you can customize practically anything with initials, monograms, as invitiations…sky’s the limit! here are a couple of my faves, check her out if you’re looking for a personal, one of a kind gift!
have a great night, i’m off to nyc tomorrow!

Gosh, these are great and inspiring. I always thought the boudoir was like the changing/dressing room. I may be wrong but that’s the room I’m trying to build up in my attic with stairs from my bedroom. I want it to be a massive closet with a couch and a tub. That’s all!

I can’t pick just one bedroom, so many to love! I know some of the more feminine bedrooms would be for me but I have a man in my life to think of as well. Love the not wasting time thing I never thought of it that way. Have fun in NYC this weekend!

i think if you have the right headboard you can make anything masculine or feminine enough to fool him…ok maybe not pink but i find guys do like feminine elements if you bring them in. just not floral sheets!

I think im the only guy who moans more than women!!!
It’s nice to see that others like the same things that I do.
I love florida, my villa that I had while I was in orlando had a stunning
golf course with funny animals (looked like squirrels but they were a funny colour)
There were 8 of us when we went and had such a great time.
The swimming pool was just right, the only thing I wish we has done was to
hire a car to get around, and we missed out on going to disney :(
We loved out luxury florida villa and would go back tomorrow if we could!

darling! i think your are bed obsessed at the moment based on your last posts..which I am quiet enjoying. However it’s torture because I am sitting in this cold office in Paris sleepy and sick and all I want to do is to crawl into all or any of these bed/sleeping/boudoir posts and escape this cold grey into dreamland. *sighhhhhhhh*
when is your next trip to Paris by the way…I just bought a new apartment in the marais (move in end of January) and was thinking we might have a fun joint blogging adventure doing some Paris Apartment inspired decor? Just food for thought to chew on for a while :-)
always a joy stopping by…XOXO Haleigh @ Bardot in Blue

Wow. I sort of want to throw out everything in my room except a lushly linen-ed bed and a chandelier, including the curtains…
Ok so maybe not them. But I love the light!
