mixing business with pleasure

oneandonlyparisphotgraphy1

hi guys! it’s been a busy week and there’s lots of news to share in a day or so. today is just a note to say hi and indulge in a scrapbook moment from my spring tour in paris which is featured in october’s travel and leisure magazine! it’s a great excuse to dig thru the pics and thank everyone who was involved.

oneandonlyparisphotgraphy1a

we had a ball running around and did not hold back while we were shooshed and laughed and skipped through the streets for days. the shots above were taken by anthony of oneandonlyparisphotography.com. i hoped that they’d use some in the article but oddly enough, they sent someone the next weekend to shoot the markets. i’ll never understand that but, whatever!

group-hug

this was our group, toma, the antiques diva met us at a couple brocantes she had up her sleeve, lynn yaeger wrote the article and kim and kyle shopped with impeccable taste and got the gorgeous gems below (just a small sampling)!

so anyway, it’s nice to have a passion-turn-business and see the fruits of a lot of labor with an article like this.

my next trip to paris in january for the maison et objet and again in the spring, (dates tbd).

join the diva for the Foire Nationale à la Brocante et aux Jambons on the île de Chatou this year or next.

or come with me, you know you’re always welcome to join anytime i’m there as my guest, bloggers have carte blanche!

    Claudia,
I was looking at these photos and thinking these ladies look so cute. Why wouldn’t the magazine use these shots?! I love the yellow scarf by the way.
I remember you sharing these gems in your blog post during your spring Paris trip, and my jaw still drops in awe when I look at these beds! Ahhhhh! I must return to Paris ASAP!!!

i know! honestly they sent someone a week later to try to retrace our steps. i guess it’s an industry thing to do that but it makes no sense, especially since we had these and a ton more!

    Claudia,
I just read part of the article! I am definitely bookmarking it. I love Lynn’s humorous tone in the article. I think that it’s funny that you saved her heart from falling for an antique chamber pot holder!

lynn is sooooo silly and such a character, you can imagine what it’s like running around paris with her. and she collects everything from baby dolls to vintage couture to chamber pots so it makes for incredibly amusing times!

The woman with the very short red hair, I see her on the subway in NYC often. She must live near me. How funny to run across her picture online!

I’m headed back to Paris in 2 weeks and am so excited.

How fun to see my picture on one of my favorite blogs Paris Apartment- and even better, how fun to meet one of my favorite bloggers Claudia in real life!!!

Having Anthony of One & Only on hand taking pics was sensational… there’s nothing to make you feel like a real diva than having a professional photographer follow you all day shooting & clicking away!

That was a crazy, dazy weekend!

Your Maison Object trip sounds sensational – especially as I know you’ll combine it with so many fun & exciting flea market finds along the way! And thanks by the way, for mentioning my Paris Ham Fair Flea Market trip… it starts this weekend and we’re going to “Ham it up”!!!

    All my best,
    Toma

How fun…you have the best of both worlds..travelling to shop for business and have fun with friends. I am more of a loner during my shopping trips to France as coming from New York I have to watch (my accountant’s words) my expense account. It is a good thing that I am a fast shopper as I go, stickers in hand, through “deballages” and fairs at a fast and furious pace. Will be in Paris in January perhaps i will be lucky enough to bump into you at Maison and Objets.
