on a happier note, i just won a mystery bag of goodies from sophismpress.blogspot.com

i’m not really sulking, i’ll get over it. i’m glad we’ll always have paris, ancient, silent and just waiting to be witnessed! the next maison objet is in january which i have to attend but it’s a totally different trip in the fall. hmpf. something good better come of this!

    Hi Claudia,
I’m holding good thoughts for you and hoping all is well. I’m saving so maybe we can both make the next trip. I have a feeling that Paris will be even more fabulous with you there!!

Anyway, wishing the best for you and hope your day gets better :)

I had no idea you were supposed to head back over to Paris. I wanted to go back in October but I don’t think it’s going to pan out…maybe in the spring again – it was so great, I can’t wait to go back.

I’m sorry you won’t make it – I had hoped to go, but in the end with other financial commitments I have this autumn I just couldn’t justify the expense, even from Oxford. And I might have to be in the US for the January one too… Boo.

    Claudia,
I am so sorry that you had to cancel your plans…
I hope that things are okay with you. What is it about Paris that just makes a heart so heavy with longing?

Rosie Hardy’s work is so laden with emotion and her photography and ability to portray hidden emotions is extraordinary. This image really does evoke that sense of disappointment and a pang of sadness. May your day be filled with contentment for the other joyful things in life.

i really don’t know what it is but you’re so right. it’s like an ache! truth is that so many things snowballed in yesterday that going became irresponsible. it’s the first time i’ve had to reign it in in awhile and i think that was a hard pill to swallow. today i feel better though and am making plans for january. thank you for your note, it hit the nail on the head!

Darn. I am so sorry. Disappointment is a rotten feeling. But January in Paris would be lovely, wouldn’t it?!
I was talking with an old friend this afternoon and we both were lamenting the fact that we are not currently packing to travel to our favourite places. He to Florence, me to the Scottish Highlands!! Ah well. Vivid imaginations are useful!
