    Hi Claudia,
I’m holding good thoughts for you and hoping all is well. I’m saving so maybe we can both make the next trip. I have a feeling that Paris will be even more fabulous with you there!!

Anyway, wishing the best for you and hope your day gets better :)

yes, the next show is january (we’re showing the boudoir noir stuff). let’s make it happen.

      thanks for coming back :)
my day’s starting to look up already.

  2. A Gift Wrapped Life replied:

Another time…….sigh. I’m with you on a up-and-down day. Though you are right, Paris is always there, another time. Big hugs.

  3. a. replied:

I had no idea you were supposed to head back over to Paris. I wanted to go back in October but I don’t think it’s going to pan out…maybe in the spring again – it was so great, I can’t wait to go back.

  4. Chrisy replied:

What! You have the ticket and the apartment! And you can’t go! Noooooooooooooo!
ps at the verrry least you must console yourself with some nice champagne!

  5. theparisapartment replied:

i know, it’s pure tragedy! thank god the show is twice a year. this should be my worst problem, right?

  6. Passementerie replied:

I’m sorry you won’t make it – I had hoped to go, but in the end with other financial commitments I have this autumn I just couldn’t justify the expense, even from Oxford. And I might have to be in the US for the January one too… Boo.

    • theparisapartment replied:

i’m sorry to hear that, mel. this time misery does not love company! are you going to be at the us gift show in january or the maison objet, or both?

  7. a la parisienne replied:

I am so sorry that you had to cancel your plans…
I hope that things are okay with you. What is it about Paris that just makes a heart so heavy with longing?

Rosie Hardy’s work is so laden with emotion and her photography and ability to portray hidden emotions is extraordinary. This image really does evoke that sense of disappointment and a pang of sadness. May your day be filled with contentment for the other joyful things in life.

  8. theparisapartment replied:

i really don’t know what it is but you’re so right. it’s like an ache! truth is that so many things snowballed in yesterday that going became irresponsible. it’s the first time i’ve had to reign it in in awhile and i think that was a hard pill to swallow. today i feel better though and am making plans for january. thank you for your note, it hit the nail on the head!

  9. Trish replied:

There will be a silver lining. Generally happens. Until then…sigh. I feel for you.

  10. Elise replied:

  14. Di Overton replied:

OK where do you get one of those keys from. I need one right now :)

  15. Pamela replied:

Darn. I am so sorry. Disappointment is a rotten feeling. But January in Paris would be lovely, wouldn’t it?!
I was talking with an old friend this afternoon and we both were lamenting the fact that we are not currently packing to travel to our favourite places. He to Florence, me to the Scottish Highlands!! Ah well. Vivid imaginations are useful!

  16. Jennifer replied:

Have you heard about the Rosie Hardy plagiarism scandal ?
