hey guys, i just had to get out of the boudoir for a minute and get in to the bath. interesting when you focus so much on one niche then change your perspective.

i have to work a bit and then head out but just wanted to check in with some fresh energy. where ever you i hope you’re right where you want to be.
(dang! i didn’t note this one either. if you know where it came from please let me know. i think it’s so important to credit sources. ok note to self: when i find a shot and save it i’ll rename it then and there with where it came from).
anyway hope your night’s just getting started whether you’re staying in blogging or headed out for a boogie night! ~happy weekend to us all~

They’re gorgeous pictures. One of the blisses of living in a house after years of apartment living is that our bathroom has a WINDOW. A large, south-facing Victorian sash window. Luxury indeed.

Ummmmmm is that rose water? Do you know in N.P. Rhode Island at the Gloria Vanderblit mansion there is a bathtub that brings in the ocean water….AND the faucet is a fish! AND the motif over the doors are clam shells AND the walls a very very pale green~~~ Have fun!

Your lovely package arrived on Friday, at the end of a very long week. Escaping the sticky grasp of two shrieking children, stepping first on soggy cereal and then on sharp legos, I staggered to the door to get the bills from the mail box, all the while wondering how in the world I was going to survive through dinner time and bed time. And there in the mail was a little piece of ephemera heaven, kindly sent by a total stranger who had no idea she was saving my life (or those of the sticky shriekers – I’m not sure). The bounty remains on a kitchen counter, spread out on the blue tissue paper, where it lifts my spirits every time I pass it and distracts me from the shattered crackers under foot.
Clearing stuff up, parceling it out, placing it beautifully in scalloped tissue, sandwiching it into bags that must be paid for, addressing them by hand, schlepping them to the post office, slogging through the line and the weighing of each package and then paying the bill to mail them to random unknown readers; not at all glamorous and yet, the stuff that angels are made of.

sorry i’ve been so out of touch. a bit of debauchery this weekend rendered me useless for a couple days, i’m not the party girl i used to be!
i’m so glad you’re starting to get your packages and cris, your note made it all worthwhile. i felt terrible cause i realized i left out a personal note to you but am happy to see it didn’t matter. no it wasn’t easy to schlep and pack etc, but to get the note that you just sent i’d do it all over again. i adore you all whether we ‘know’ each other or not. you’re my rocks!

The last bathroom example is so counter intuitive, and yet somehow, it just works. Generally, designs would use things like blinds to block outside light, and feature interior lighting. This one just opens it all up.
But as I said, somehow, the open and clean design just looks amazing.
