hello everybody! it feels like it’s been a lifetime since i was last here. funny how blogging keeps you focused in a way, you can sort of track your progress, see where you’ve been and where you’re headed. for the past few days i’ve been focusing on cleaning out the store, visiting family and generally revamping to have less clutter in my life.

of course life goes on and so much has happened that when i try to write about it, it’s just too overwhelming. this new phase is going to be less about multitasking and more about focusing on doing one thing at a time and doing it well. i’m over being overloaded and trying to cram everything in life into a minute, post, trip or conversation.

one of the prettiest things that’s happened is the addition of jennifer gordon of stiletto heights to the sidebar. she’s a brilliant artist who creates masterpieces with old photographs of strong women. she layers them with script and detail from back in the day to bring them new life.

i find them incredibly moving. no matter how close you look there’s something more to see. i have a feeling you’ll love them too so take a look at her site if you get a chance. they make great gifts on canvas and stunning note cards.

welp, there’s so much more but for now just wanted to say a quick hello. my new life still includes drudgery of actual work so i do have to get back to it.

and fyi, nyc is heavenly right now. (this shot is from a street fair last weekend). the sun is shining, the energy’s good and best of all i have my friends (hi tony and carol)! and family. now that the air is clearing i hope to spend more time blogging. i’ll be back to visit chez vous over the next couple days, so bye for now and thanks for always being there!

Jennifer Gordon’s work is stunning. Talented individual. Glad you are happy in NY, friend & family are the best medicine. Is getting your real estate license still one of your goals?

I couldn’t resist, I love her artwork! Thanks so much for sharing.

I am so not a multi tasker. I’m horrible at it. I find when I focus on one thing at a time, things actually get done faster and better than when I multi task. Breaking things down into smaller increments always works for me. Thanks for the reminder because right now I’m not very focused.

    Claudia –
You had deep things to say today, “focusing on doing one thing at a time and doing it well. i’m over being overloaded and trying to cram everything in life into a minute, post, trip or conversation”

I’m sure these are sentiments can understand and learn from. Thanks for being real!
