new york, new york it’s a wonderful town

francois

a wonderful place to visit!

hello darling friends! how was your thanksgiving? i hope it was magical…wait, it had to be, it was yours!

it’s been a whirlwind of days here. i can’t even tell you what i’ve been doing other that eating and running around town, working and more eating! but today i really ran around and made two new friends! Francois and Co. takes original pieces from chateaux and castles that are destroyed in France. Who knew? it’s hard to believe but as you can see it’s real. Anyway, imagine my surprise to get a call from their very own Elisa to have a cup of coffee. Well boy did we ever today! She’s amazing and french and the company is fascinating.

ballustrade

They salvage mantles and they’re also highly creative, reproducing the pieces as well as making these wine cellar ceilings, ballustrades and doorways. they so passionately in love with their work and i guess it’s contagious!

winecellar

not to mention the tubs!

after that i had another meeting around the corner, this time with kraft hardware. they’re going to carry my line of handles so that’s a big deal to me! turns out the owner’s from cherry hill, right near my home town.

singleballknob

they’re working on their website but they’re a fantastic decorator’s secret resource if you don’t already know about them. They make this piece in all shapes and sizes. and you know who used it on you know what!

twinprincesses

ok there was one shot of my twin princess nieces on thanksgiving. yum, they’re so sweet! jean, show us pics of that new kitchen kitchen, it was unbelievable! and mom and dad finished the guest room. i’ll get shots next time i’m in town which looks like it may be sooner than later with christmas coming so soon! well it’s a long way off so enjoy your thanksgiving reverb and have a night of bliss… xoc

WOW C! Congratulations on making new contacts with Francois and Co. Sounds like a delightful company to be associated with. Although it breaks my heart that chateaux are being destroyed in France! Enjoy working with these amazing pieces full of history and character.

So glad to hear that you had a lovely holiday! And your finds are just fabulous!!!!! I am stunned that anyone would tear down a chateau or castle but I suppose if it’s beyond repair what else can one do? Cindy
