it’s beginning to look a lot like it’s here

merrry christmas to all! how did it happen that it’s here already?  i started writing this blog three times and am determined to hit publish before having to walk out the door in about a minute!

I’ve been absorbed by every inch of new york for the past few days and turned off all technology.  yesterday i started searching images of the holidays and came across so many darling things that i couldn’t decide whether to focus on vintage moments

favorite places

or that je ne sais quois sparkle that shows up  just when you needed a little magic…

i fell into the illustrations (this one below by andy warhol)

the typography

the gaiety

and adorableness of it all…

happily i’m with my family. mom even made me the quilt of my dreams. and now we’re off to go spread some cheer.

well, i know it’s exhausting but i hope you got what you asked for and everyone around you is happy. i just wanted to stop by sand tell you how much i love and appreciate you all. ready to wrap up 2013 and it looking forward to the future together. till then, enjoy your holidays, we’re out the door!

December 25, 2013. Holidays.

Here we have sort of warm weather and Christmas is almost over, we had a good time, got and gave lots of gifts. Same prcedure as every year, but somehow always special. Waiting for snow now, just a little which makes the small world around us turn quiet for a while… have a merry Christmas, dear Claudia….

    • The Paris Apartment replied:

that kid is so cute isn’t he? somehow he reminds me of how my dad may have been as a child. hope your days was great, paul!

  6. Merillion replied:

    Hi Claudia,
And Merry Christmas to you and yours! Our Christmas was cancelled this year due to family troubles, but we’re having our get-together in 2 weeks when things should calm down. Bob & I had a quiet but very pleasant Christmas Eve & Day, but sure did miss our usual family celebration.

Your mother certainly made a beautiful quilt, and it looks like it will be warm & cozy.

    Love, Marilyn

    • The Paris Apartment replied:

hi marilyn, i hope your troubles are over or at least on the upswing. it won’t matter if you celebrate late, just glad to hear that things are calming down and you and bob are having time together!

  7. Heidi replied:

Sorry I’m late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
    love Heidi

  8. Rosemary Willoughby replied:

Thank you so much. Happy Christmas to you.

    Best wishes,
