happy new year guys! it’s been a long season and this is the first time i’ve had to sit and just enjoy some downtime at my laptop. it really is the world at your fingertips isn’t it? well i got to cruising pinterest for a pretty pic and of course fell down the rabbit hole. guests are already arriving so i have to go but luckily pics speak volumes so here are some favorite shots. i hope this year holds wonderful things for you and that we remember to stop, breathe and enjoy every moment for as long as we’re here. happiest new year darling friends!
hi guys, happy saturday. it’s cold in nyc! my guy made a fire and it’s all i can do to leave the apartment. the happy reward is getting to see old friends all around town.
how is your holiday prep going? i hope it’s stress free. that’s my goal this year. i slept for a good long time when i got here. i think it’s been a really emotional time for all of us. and on top of it, life will just not stop! i find a nap such a relief sometimes.
when i finally came back to life i ended up on pinterest and realized i was thinking about my mom and her holiday table. she aways has a beautiful centerpiece. she and my dad are putting the house together. i know how much work they’re doing and enjoying it at that.
i believe simplicity is the key to a stress free holiday. so is appreciating the fleeting nature of it.
i’m glad to be here with you this year. please don’t forget to do something for yourself. and i highly recommend you take that nap if you need it!
then again it’s only 2 o’clock! hi guys, good to be here with you, safe on earth. since we got a second shot at life today, there something enlightening that was supposed to come out of it. some say it wasn’t catastrophe in the literal world ending, but more like a global-mental revolution that could alter the world today. maybe together we can shape the world. however imperfect this time, it’s ours to claim!
hope you’re enjoying one of your favorite things right now. pour moi, it’s back to work since the world didn’t end! have a wonderful friday darling friends!
good morning gang! it’s super silent at this hour, no one is up yet and i have time to myself. i think i slept 10 hours solid and am feeling almost totally refreshed finally. one more hour would really clinch it!
question: are you a dog person? it’s been a couple years since i lost my love, daisy (part kitten part pitbull), and i didn’t think i’d really find anyone as special so have put off pet ownership for awhile. but i’m suddenly tempted to adopt…
did you happen to see the comfort and therapy dogs that were on the news the other night? all they did was show up and everyone felt good.
i read this just now and even though it’s common knowledge, still something to think about whether for ourselves or a loved one: a dog often will connect with someone who may not be making a connection with other people. they just sort of gravitate to that child or adult sitting alone and can make that person smile.
well, have a great day everyone and if you can’t adopt, maybe just foster? let us all know!
good morning dear friends. my thoughts and prayers have been unending for the past few days and i know yours are too. i search for meaning but there is none. i’m not a religious person but find tremendous help in the power of prayer. i hope you find some comfort too.
“When every hope is gone, when helpers fail and comforts flee, I find that help arrives somehow, from I know not where. Supplication, worship, prayer are no superstition; they are acts more real than the acts of eating, drinking, sitting or walking. It is no exaggeration to say that they alone are real, all else is unreal.”
