can any obsession be slight?
hi everybody, how’s life? it’s been a while cause i just couldn’t rationalize blogging when i had ‘responsible’ things that had not been attended to! but today i talked to my dad who said mom’s been checking in and getting no blog love. at that moment, my self imposed sequestration came to an end!
i realized that i put way too much ressure on myself so i’m just going to take what’s in front of me and as i tried to vow to do this year, remember the day with a post.
while taking breaks from work i’m also taking pics here ad there. i love having flowers around and got tiny ranunculus thinking they’d be sweet and easy to deal with. since they got here, their beauty has been beyond distracting. i started shooting them between the drudgery of work and watching them bloom. their luscious gorgeousness is impossible to capture but i loved trying.
suffice it to say they’ve been an infinite source of inspiration and i just couldn’t stop shooting them from every angle for the past couple days. now that i’m posting these i can relax and just enjoy them. hope you do too.
have a great nuit guys, more tomorrow!
hi guys! i’m out of hibernation for the next few minutes! it’s been a very long time since i had any time to myself and just made a deadline so now i can sit back for a minute. as much as i avoided blogging, it’s the first place i run when there is time to spare!
this post is just a random bunch of pictures i came across just now. when you’re surfing pinterest you never know what you’ll get.
but you get what you need so there must be some magic at work.
well there goes the phone
and i have to go fax something before the end of the day.
but i just wanted to stop but and freshen up.
the pic of my office was torturing me!
thank god there’s always fresh inspiration!
i’ve tried taking shots of my place but they never come out like i want
still i may do a little house tour tomorrow and celebrate some new flowers
till then, i bid you, my darling friends, adieu!
charles baudelaire penned ‘hemisphere in a head of hair’ to describe how so much can seen and felt ordinary things.
i’ve been steering clear of blogging and just working hard to keep my mind focused in what’s been a really insane few days. when i saw this pic it made me think of the baudelaire quote.
well i just wanted to recalibrate tonite, say hi and get back on track. i hope your week is off to a great start and that you’re finding the beautiful part of life even when it’s not what you want or expect.
hey guys! how’s your week going? i’ve been running around like crazy cause phase one of the event i can’t yet mention is coming quick. we shoot on february 13 and 14. so i’m upholstering, making pillows, editing spreadsheets and almost too tired to blog. but when i was going thu my phone i thought you may enjoy a little of it. i have about a minute left to share it. (my guy and i said no computers after dinner tonite so it’s now or never)!
we cracked open the warehouse and there are lots of pretty things but everything needs to be tweaked so i did some fabric shopping today. i love graphics and a few of these vintage benches above could use a mod pick-me-up!
i didn’t even get any of these but it was funny to see what i shot at the end of the day. actually i did get one
i was getting into the linens
this one was embroidered. it’s the one i got (for a long lucite bench)
scenes from the warehouse
palm beach green circa 1970!
well my date’s here, gotta go, more tomorrow!
