be it ever so humble

good morning guys! how’s your week shaping up? hope you had a great holiday. it’s back home for me after lots of traveling and good to feel refreshed. i’ve finished unpacking the stuff from paris and just hung another painting from the market. it’s the other little corner that needs TLC but as i always say, it’s a work in progress, not a one shot overhaul.

my sister in law jean took fabulous pics at the fleas and put them on picassa. the one below is from her set. she really captured the essence of the day, i love so many of the vendors and candids she got. if you get a chance, take a look here:

as you can see this one made it from the street to my wall. thought it would be fun to show where some of this stuff ends up. it’s mine for for awhile! well, there’s lots to do so i better jet. have a great wednesday!

I looked at just some of the pics so far (on Picasa) & to me they give a great view of what it would be like to be there. (Would love to go through all of it – I know I’d find something to love!)
Always inspiring when I look at “Paris Apartment.”

How I love old paintings! I just found the prettiest little french style chandelier with aqua glass drops and have no idea what to do with it. I’m inspired by your sconce to let it be shine in a simple setting. ; )

Yeh it’s always great to let an interior evolve isn’t it. The painting looks awesome and contrasts so nicely with the blue drops of the sconce…..also those floorboards are gorgeous!!

    Claudia,

Your apartment is looking fab, and I love your painting. I am always in search of beautiful oil/watercolor paintings, and I cherish my only painting I purchased from a Paris flea.

I hope all is going well with you.

I didn’t realize that Jean was so good. Her pictures capture Paris beautifully! What a treat! I wish I had these back when I was trying to entice people to France with the standard archival slides we used 30 years ago.

  14. Kate replied:

Your apartment is looking amazing. I’m thinking 30s glam a bit, noh? It’s inspiring. I wish I could hire you to help me. Maybe someday…..

  15. The Paris Apartment replied:
