going to the theater

hey guys! happy independence day weekend! i’m in nyc for a couple of days to enjoy the city.  tonite we’re headed out to the box. theboxnyc.com

it’s theater at its best and all happens inside this tiny, unassuming exterior on the lower east side that hasn’t changed at all.

behind the facade is a grand old theater where magic happens!

they don’t allow pictures and i couldn’t find much on line but you get the idea.

the roaring great time of a show all happens on this little stage. every nook and cranny of the place is special, the lobby, the walls, the restrooms, the coat check! i’ll try to sneak some shots  ;p

the video below has a preview but it’s not for the faint of heart (mom and dad)! oh and best of all, tonight’s special guest is alexander markov http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Markov. he’s a russian violinist so it’s cultural too.
