hi guys, how are you this fine evening? me? i’m a little blasé blah. i have too much to do and don’t feel like doing any of it! i’d rather be visiting you and surfing. to top it off i’ve been online for the past hour and discovered that i know nothing about what’s going on in the wild wide web! it’s a living documentary of what’s going on in society today and i’m on overload. i may need to work on my time management to have a little more time for other things instead always trying to play catch up.

just visitng flickr started off an incredible wave. over 6000 pics were uploaded in the hour i was there. they tell you to the minute who did what do you can follow your faves. i knew it was a great place for random pics but had no idea what a wealth of eye candy’s there. it’s also a great showcase for photographers and incredible exposure. there are pools of pics with great titles like ‘domestic bliss’ or a ‘corner of my home’ it was pretty mesmerizing and definitely as entertaining as a magazine, without the ads!

somehow lost the credit on this one above and don’t know who the photographer is. if you do please let me know!

as for the rest of the technology that’s getting ahead of me? well tonite i discovered the google reader that lets me know about those blogs i’ve been following (um, duh), and that’s great cause i caught up with a bunch i love. but it’s also what got my feathers ruffled. i got some sort of feed on an article and realized have no idea about what’s happening in my own culture. this post about twitter nation has thrown me into culture shock. it’s just something i know nothing about and seems to have a huge learning curve after reading this. what about it, do you do it?

well, that’s it for me tonite. i’m beat and need to recharge these batteries if i’m gonna keep up! bon nuit, and suite dreams!

Oh Claudia, these images are beyond gorgeous – I love flickr – and France (swoon)
I’m clueless to twitter – so I guess that makes me twitterless, too! =)

Gereat pictures as always. I don’t like twitter…I get what it’s about and have an account but I see more value in facebook. Just my two cents! I am on twitter mostly to keep up with Obama and his peeps…it’s very good for that. It’s how they roll these days.

  9. Bonnie replied:

What a cute baby kitten, with his/her eyes barely open… How is your kitten did Liz keep him? I hope everything is going really well.

  10. amber replied:

I am sooooo in love with that black-and-white-pink-nose!!!!!

  11. theparisapartment replied:

oooh that nose is to die for isn’t it? as for mr. kittens (aka kung fu panda kitty), i saw him yesterday but he’s going to stay with liz since it’s his home and he has a backyard. i’m sort of in limbo and prying him away from liz would be nothing short of impossible anyway!
so…i’m on twitter now (as of last night) figuring if it works for obama there must be something to it. but who really cares what i’m doing all day?

  12. Nadine @ BDG replied:

    those mosaics are amazing.
As for twitter, I’m not sure why I’d want to sign up. I doubt people are that interested in my day to day movements. I may regret that decision statement someday, but sometimes I need to be unplugged.

I love Twitter. It’s great if you want to post something real quick such as a link if you don’t have time to do a proper blog post.

I am “alpcoterie” – let me know if you join and I will “follow” you!

  14. theparisapartment replied:

i think what amazes me most is how quick some people can adapt to new technology like it’s the most natural thing in the world! for me it’s really time consuming, especially cause twitter tells you how long it’s been since you’ve done anything…talk about a way to wile away the hours!

  15. julie at Bv replied:

I’m curious about that Twitter. I’ll go and take a look. It sounds fun.

  16. The Red Velvet Shoe replied:

Twitterless.. . Basically I fall into the “less” category for most of the latest gidget gadget thingies. I would probably have a lot more success at my attempt to run an online boutique if I tried to figure it all out but it really just makes my head hurt! :) I’d rather just unlock my (imaginary) pretty red door of my brick store front and put my vintage mannequin out in the sun on the cobblestone sidewalk and hang the “Open for Vintage Shopping Spree” sign on her! It would be so much easier!!!

    Claudia,

I’m a big fan of Twitter. I have recently written several guest post articles on how it helped launched my photography site. (iheartfaces.com) It’s a must if you have a business. You have such a huge fan base, that you will benefit greatly from it.

Here are a few snippets for ya:

My favorite site to learn about Twitter:
    http://www.twittip.com

    Too busy?

Tweet Later (tweetlater.com) is a service that allows you to automatically set tweets to a certain time. You can schedule them in advance. Not as personable, but it’s great when you’re busy! It also sends you your replies via email so you don’t have to stay on Twitter all day.

Have fun. Hope to see you on Twitter:-) If you sign up you can find me here:
    @livinglocurto
    @iheartfaces

P.S.- Thanks for visiting my blog! I was excited to see you there. I’m addicted to Flickr too… I love one group called My Crafting Room. I can’t wait to go through all the ones you talked about here.

  24. theparisapartment replied:

hi amy! i love your site!
thanks for all the twitter info. i think i just got it…but now am not sure what all the tutorials are about. dare i dig in further?

  25. Aran replied:

  26. ElizaWard replied:

Hi! I love your site so I’ve given you the Proximate Award (http://elizaward.livejournal.com/12415.html). Hope you get a chance to unwind for a while!

  28. le petit cabinet de curiosites replied:

Love these images !The parisian moisaics are gorgeous

  29. The Deco Detective replied:

OMG, you’re really good at finding great stuff on Flickr. It’s a bit like the Salvation Army shops I think – you need lots of time to browse through lots of not-so-great stuff to find the gems. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I love the books, of course!
    Have a lovely weekend Claudia.

  30. Passementerie replied:

No twitter for this girl, but I know what you mean about feeling a little out of the online loop sometimes – I haven’t had much time online since Beatrice was born & it doesn’t take long to fall behind! Thank you for the flickr heads up though…

  31. renee finberg replied:

the tiny kitty is too much !
i just want to kiss his little face .

  32. theparisapartment replied:

    isn’t the kitty so smooshy??!!
not to worry about keeping up with the technology, we can only handle so much after all.
    and thank you eliza!
i’m honored and am looking forward to visiting the blogs on your list!

  33. Monica Furniture Removal replied:

You don’t have to feel alone I know exactly what you are saying with all this new technology and its seems to be changing on a daily basis, I myself haven’t even grasped the concept of Twitter, but all I hear is every second person is Twittering, not only on a personal level but also on a business level. Once I have a clue what its all about I too will be joining.
Those photos are really amazing and I just love the one with the little girl and that kitty, its just so gorgeous.
