i never amounted to much

(photo from liberypost.com)

in terms of things like acquisitions or holdings, real estate or art, assets, jewlery…kids even.

but i still having everything.

happy birthday dad! you and mom mean everything to me!

hey guys! day 3 of my regime…(i was really inspired by diet tribe)!

i guess by now you’ve heard about the closing of so many magazines? i wish they’d keep the domino website up. sort of like a wickipedia reference where people could contribute content or something. online. i’m not sure why companies are closing instead of downsizing or just moving online.

maybe everyone will showcase their own home.

like this post by rachel ashwell. just detail shots of imperfections at home

maybe i’ll give it a harder try!

Jewel…YOU are FULL OF RICHES!! In fact the richest one I know. You have everything that matters… especially where we come from :) Your Dad’s gift is priceless! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

  2. theparisapartment replied:

dewdrop! thanks for saying such sweet things. i have all that and YOU too!

  3. My Melange replied:

Oh no. Domino is closing? I *love* that mag!!! What else is closing?? Happy b-day to your Dad!!!

  4. Judith replied:

I was wondering the SAME thing, why don’t they make some changes and give it a fighting try!?! So sad. Anyway, Happy Birthday Dad!
    Have a wonderful day Claudia!

  5. theparisapartment replied:

exactly! as long as there are sales it’s a business, so why not just be a 3 million dollar biz instead of 5 or whatever?

  6. angela replied:

The problem is, my bed NEVER looks that good when I don’t make it. Trust me, I’ve tried to make it work.

  7. theparisapartment replied:

yeah, i sure know what you mean. lately my unmade bed makes me nuts so i’m always making it first thing in the am. maybe shabby chic linens really do work, i think those are rachel’s own design!

  8. Joy replied:

You’ve amounted to a lot in your parent’s eyes I am sure! (as well as all of your loyal followers of course)

    Happy Birthday Claudia’s Dad!

  9. theparisapartment replied:

shucks, joy, the ‘rents and the bloggers are my favorite people anyhow!

  10. petunia replied:

It’s what we give of ourselves to others, not what we accummulate that matters in the end. Things come and go. Gifts of the heart are forever. so I’m thinking you’re s rich as a princess in her castle. Happy Birthday to your Papa!

  11. theparisapartment replied:

here here! a toast to us all who have nothing!

  12. Lucy replied:

You’ve got so much to be proud of and you’re so talented- and by the looks of it; you make our day so much brighter too!

  13. theparisapartment replied:

well now THAT makes me feel good, thank you josephine! i feel the same way about you too!

  14. Pamela replied:

I’ve so enjoyed spending time tonight catching up on all your latest posts!! So many lovely things to look at, so many lovely new places to visit. And, you are a dear to mention Edward and me as well!!

Happy Birthday to your Dad! I know he’s beyond proud of you. And Rachel’s unmade bed looks charming,….but, I prefer actually crawling into one that’s neater!! Crazy, but true.

  15. Carolyn Green replied:

So sad when magazines are closing down and it is a pity they couldn’t ride it out.

Happy Birthday to your Dad and isn’t it great that they mean everything to you and your Parents must be proud of you.

    Have a great weekend.

  16. le petit cabinet de curiosites replied:

    joyeux anniversaire to your daddy!

  17. Vicki Archer replied:

    Hello Claudia,
I finally posted the award you so graciously gave me so check out French Essence – enjoy your weekend xv

  18. Isa replied:

Happy Birthday to your Dad, Claudia! …and you have the riches that I value most. :)

How’s this for irony? I just won a subscription to Domino a few days before they announced they were closing. :(

  19. theparisapartment replied:

    ain’t life grand?
