the bright side of life

when you start tracking your hours it’s easy to see them slip away

i spent the last bunch of them at liz’s, trying to edit, channeling jonathan adler since she got his book as a gift yesterday.

he uses pops of color and lots of sculptures

he decorates them with hats, liz decorates them with beads!

anyway, that’s some of what i did today (trying to document, mom). we’re still in really early phases and deliberate over everything since we’re both major ‘type a’ personalities and she has some major trouble spots. it’s truly a work in progress, you see it developing and get happy, then suddenly it’s tired and has to be completely undone! it’s endless and we need foliage but it’s a start. we’ve been saying that for awhile, i know…anyway my pieces for j.a. turned out to have an almost tragic ending but we’ll right all wrongs tomorrow. for now, a long day is coming to a close, tonite, i can’t wait to visit your blogs!!

What an honor to have you visit my blog. I am SO glad that I was featuring my friend, Vanna’s room, when you stopped in. She is an amazing collector of beautiful things. The room you’ve featured in this posting is so pretty. I can’t wait to look through your other postings. laurie

Wow. This is your space? This is phenomenal. I thing you definitely channeled your inner Adler, mon cherie! It has just enough quirk to be memorable, but such solid ‘bones’ that it’s clearly well thought out. I, my dear, am impressed with your design prowess :)

Wow, thanks guys! it’s liz’s house, since i’m moving in for 3 months, now she’s letting us tweak it together. we played the last couple days moving a little of my stuff in here and there, i’ll shoot some more today since you’re inspiring me!

Hi Claudia! Your friends house is looking fabulous! I know how it can be when two A types butt heads! But the words “fresh” and “quirky” come to mind…Two of my favorite things! *winks* I wanted to thank you for visiting my family room. It’s not often that one gets a compliment from one’s design idol! I can’t wait to follow your blog and see what you do next! Warmly Vanna
