I love typing around/with a kitten who will grow into a cat and get better at manipulating the computer! (One of my cats has found a “turn off the whole computer” button that I can’t even figure out which one it is but she steps on it often as she walks over the keyboard. What’s up with that?!) I do it daily and it is noble skill. Oh, and the pictues and links are very good, as well!

  2. theparisapartment replied:

you’re so right! she was trying to see what i was doing and jumping on the keyboard, maybe it’s a natural instinct to distract us!

  3. visual vamp replied:

    Beautiful book, beautiful kitty!
Thanks for sharing both of them.

  4. Amy replied:

Can you hear my squeaking?! SO ADORABLE! Does Kitty have a name?! Marie Antoinette, perhaps?! hee…

  5. theparisapartment replied:

eeek mee tooo…we found her outside and within an hour she was snuggling in the crook of my neck, then all night long in my armpit! as for a name, we’ve tried a hundred out, she looks like a panda bear, do you know any panda names? pantoinette? (

  6. Gretchen replied:

What a darling kitty. That nose smudge reminds me of those little beauty spots the women at court applied to their faces – don’t know the French word. You have been chosen by an impressive little feline.

  7. Gretchen replied:

    Mouche.

  8. Bonnie replied:

What a cute kitten! Was she all by herself? No mama kitty or brothers and sisters around? Im so glad you rescued her.

  9. betsy replied:

She’s -so- precious! She found herself the right humans to be her companions and chow dish keepers. What a smart little girlie.

  10. betsy replied:

She looks like Zola to me!

  11. theparisapartment replied:

oh i love zola, that works!

  12. betsy replied:

Welcome, Zola! You are a beauty.

Versailles remains one of my absolute favorite memories! I loved Marie Antoinette’s crazy pseudo hamlet village too!
P.S. I am in love with your new kitten.

I haven’t had much time for blog-reading or blog-writing lately, but I had been feeling very sad for Paris the last couple of days, lovely as Oxford is, and I thought of you this evening (I’m trying to get back on track) but what do I find? Remember… remember… Paris…. *bursts into tears* I guess it’s my own fault for neglecting my blog friends so shamefully recently! I will try to improve.

  18. Ingela replied:

Hi Claudia, you have to read the new book by Antonia Fraser- Love and Louis XIV. You will so enjoy it.

Lovely litte kitten you have been blessed with.
Our cat is on for some surgery this very moment and we can’t wait to go and get him back home again soon enough.

    All the best from Ingela

love this blog and thought you should know some of the things that happen because of your posts…I read this post some time ago…and loved the skeleton…downloaded three of them, printed them, and put them in my bathroom… the bathroom makeover was then later featured on Design sponge…and then an editor from Better Homes and gardens saw my ‘curiosities bathroom’ and now is featuring it in the BHG bath and Kitchen makover edition…so fun!
anyway, I get some much inspiration from you blog…I am adding it to my blogroll… -my best – rochelle
