home is where your heart is
i feel so strange being back in florida. i love it here but california did capture my heart in a big way, and has rekindled my sense of wanderlust. as for the romance, it wasn’t what we thought we’d have but may turn into a beautiful friendship. everything seems different now, maybe it’s normal after traveling, but something has shifted.

Hope you are o.k. with it…the friendship part…
Seriously, CA can grab hold and not let go. I have been to FL many times but it just doesn’t hold the same allure that Cali does. It’s undefinable….

i guess i’m ok with it. it’s on my part and i’m still undecided but heading in that direction…and i agree, the creativity in landscaping alone in cali is unmatched anywhere i’ve ever been!

I lived in Cali for a while, but decided it just wasn’t *me*. The scenery was beautiful, but something just didn’t feel right about it. So, I moved back to the Northeast where it felt more like home. i am an East Coast girl.
But then when I travelled to Italy and France- it felt different, felt like I belong there. If I ever move anywhere again, it will most likely be Italy.
So, follow your heart- it will know where it feels right.

Purchased your book from Amazon.com and it came yesterday. I’ve read it from front to back and now I’m reading it again. I found your website and now I feel that I’ve known you forever. You are truly an amazing individual and I certainly admire your work. I am Bohemian at heart and love everything French. I can hardly believe that there are tons of people out there just like me. I’m so happy that I’ve found you as you have given me inspiration to get out of a rut and make my dream of redecorating my home a reality. Yes, my weekends will become a whirlwind of visiting flea markets in our area and searching for pieces that make me feel good. Thank you for giving me hope and confidence to follow my heart (forgive the cliche), and beat my own drum!

I have lived in FLORIDA and now live in Las vegas. But i am originally from NYC…where I would move to in a heartbeat if I could afford my dream apartment!
Florida didn’t do anything for me, lived in Miami then Tampa….and there seemed like not much to do. I guess coming from NYC you can see why. I like California…but I don’t know if I would live there with the earthquakes and all…. : )
Wishing you the best!

I am Jersey girl who ended up in So. Cal. due to the man thing. I have been here long enough to have retired from a 25 year social worker career. I never wanted to stay but got lost/settled,made fabulous girlfriends, etc. I am still an eastcoast girls at heart…I miss living in a town where Washington slept in everyone’s house! That being said I have just bought and read about every good book from amazon.com about living in, moving to and being French in France. I must have been French in a past life. I was thinking about going back to the NYC area to ummm…meet/shop with you and here you’ve been here! Guess I might have to see you in Paris? *laugh* If you come back to SO. CA. you’ve got a new friend!
