Glimpsing Shocking Stockings
‘Anything Goes’ was the theme the past couple days at ‘Art Deco Weekend’ here on south beach. what a ton of fun events, including these classics at the auditorium:
the deco lovers were out in full force, a highlight for me was seeing Doris Eaton Travis, the oldest living Ziegfield Follies girl. her new book is out and is abFAB, full of pics and her unbelievable story.
great and unusual vendors with art, ephemera and vintage clothes lined the street along ocean drive
where else can you be a tamara lempinka girl?
ok well gotta go, i’m interviewing kimberly tonight from hip Tranquil Chick and it starts now!

RIP – Doris Eaton Travis, 106, once measured 36-26-38. That got her into the Ziegfeld Follies at age 14. At a fundraiser 2 weeks ago, she apologized for not doing cartwheels. Instead, she dazzled the crowd with oldtime Follies kicks. http://urdead2me.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/rip-doris-eaton-travis/
