refining my designing eye

i just wanted to send a big thank Vicki from Shabby Vintage Rose who sent me these beautiful sachets she makes by hand and fills with lavender. she doesn’t have a website or blog but they sell for $16 each at her antique mall. if you’re interested in them email her at shabbyvintagerose@windstream.net. they’re in my car and every time i get in the scent uplifts me!

also thanks so much to Robyn from Paris Bebe for the fabrics she sent for the new baby collection we’re working on. they’re vintage patterns she reprints herself. so inspiring! check out her blog and see how she does it.

as for the daily progress, i did a little window shopping and am off to home depot tomorrow for the basics in the new cabana. it’s funny cause my eye goes to the frenchy stuff but here i have to look at things with a different perspective. maybe now i can use the big 60′s graphics that are running rampant. so i’ll look away from these for now…

and hello to all modern world. but i’m sure i can find a little place for some french moderne, like this mirror!

florida’s filled with the funky stuff. lighting’s priority since it sets the mood…

Wow, Claudia, I love these looks. Funny how a change of scenery can change your way of design too. I love it. The cubes would look so fab in a high gloss! Your sense of style is impeccable as always. You may have to coin a new phrase for this Florida look…
