like sands thru the hourglass
omg! i thought i was leaving this weekend but just looked at my itinerary and it’s Friday! now it seems the clock is ticking and i haven’t even skimmed the surface! well ok, skimmed. this wasn’t a buying trip per se this time, it was R&D for the books i’m doing so taking pics was fine and fun. but when a mag i write for asked me to put together a few romantic trinkets romantic for an upcoming issue, i panicked! i don’t have anything here! Well, a fellow blogger (and now new friend), was meeting me over the weekend and had never been to the fleas. i decided to teach her my tricks and pick up trinkets for under 1 or 2 euros and we struck gold! and this is only what i took out to do a quick shot…i am obsessed and in love with Paree and its treasures!
i did get to one more amazing salon. http://www.musee-jacquemart-andre.com/fr/jacquemart/
just outside was this bath store, the french are taking la toilette very seriously these days! now if only we could convince them that shower curtains were a great invention…
ok gotta go, it’s all happening right now!

all the old papers and letters… ::wistful sigh:: I was going to say they were so much more romantic back then… but then again, the French are more romantic than the Americans anyway, so maybe that is still the case… :)

Hi Claudia. I love your blog. What fabulous pictures! I’m in Paris too for the fall. I have to go see the Carnavalet, now that you showed those great pictures. It was on my list anyway, but has moved up to the top. I love Paris and the parisian style. And have marked your blog to come back.

Have been enjoying your site for a few weeks since discovering it. A friend of mine is headed to Europe for the first time (this week) to stop in London and Paris. Your beautiful and sumptuous blog has afforded inspiration and clues to finding the brocantes and other interesting and worthwhile sites to see. Many thanks for beautiful photos and writing that whet the appetite to explore Paris and take it all in. My turn to go (for the first time) will be next summer. I so look forward to every impression and heartbeat of Paris!
Many thanks, gloria
