Ha! Great minds- I had Turner on today as I conquered more of the unpacking. ;) I love these! Nothin’ better than Powell and Loy! What would we do without Ted Turner… I mean, really??
Ooooh, and on a side note- how much do we LURVE Robert Osborne?? :D

One of my good friends calls them ‘old violin movies’ because they always have violins in them. They just don’t make them like they used to.

I am just meeting up with your blog this evening. I love TCM and watched quite a few of the films even today. I love William Powell and Myrna Loy films. The wit is so tongue and cheek! It was nice visiting your little French haven!

Ooooo thanks for the info. I love old movies! They’re the best for dinner party nights when you’re guests are gone, and you decide not to clean up the mess, but rather watch an old movie (with Martini in hand :)

I caught part of this marathon with my most favorite actor of all time: Sir Cary Grant. Love these two in The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer. Never get tired of watching anything he’s in so it was a special treat to watch this while I baked (B’fast muffins from Barefoot Contessa cookbook) for a small girls’ b’fast brainstorming meeting at my house this morning.
The old movies have such fantastic dialogue you just don’t get any more!

Hey Claudia.
I read your tagged section and I also believe in Karma. That is why I always try to do the right thing all the time. I’ve seen the result of Karma so many times…The latest was like two weeks ago. I saw A Rod been hit by a ball and I was very happy at that moment. I went to bed thinking god why did I do that? And when I got up banh… I hit my knees.

I love the Thin Man movies and caught the TMC movie marathon this week with Myrna and William. The clothing, jewels, cars, furniture, music – it’s all magic and I loved every but of it.
