Taking the day off
today was great. breakfast with friends then biked to Battery Park and back…it was beautiful with all the flowers and families. came to the ‘studio’ to do a little (oops)…work! and found myself lost surfing blogs the rest of the afternoon! god help me it’s 6:45 and i better get out there while it’s still gorgeous!
i did find these french blogs, the pics are so pretty…is the light different there!!??

it’s fun to get lost in the french blogs cause it’s such a different life in many ways. and everyone is going away and posting their holiday pics. august off. what a concept! i think next august that’s what i’d like to do. wait, i’d like to take off this august! look where she’s going!

Yeah I think the light is different! They aren’t using a flash which is so much better most of the time. I think we should only use it as fill light in bright areas to help remove shadows. Those sailboats are so beautiful in pastel colors…and the stripey cabanas with them!!! I made it my background wallpaper :)

Can you imagine if all of NY was off for a whole month? New Yorkers get mad when things don’t open before 9! But that’s what people love about this mecca here. Oh well- maybe you can start a new trend. Off to New Orleans & Miami for a few days. Not a whole month, but still good to get out of the city for a few. House in the Hamptons still a few years away so this will have to do…….
