made it just before midnight!

sheets

it’s saturday nite, leaving for nc tomorrow with my guy to visit some properties and be the photog. but didn’t want to check out without sticking to my promise to do one thing for my house everyday. (thank god i will be gone for 2 days)!

truth is i didn’t want to buy anything so i dug into my linen closet which is full of really the only thing i own, my collection of linens from my great grandmother, Assunta Francesco. she was italian and came to discover a new world and paved the way for my family. she could embroider, crochet, and make all sorts of sheets and pillows…she made all these in the photo and stitched her initials in 2 matching cases.

do you think these hold her energy and her love of bedding has passed down to me? i do!assunta

Lovely! I, too, have inherited some of my grandmother’s beautiful old linens~~I have a set of sheets with my grandfather’s initials she embroidered while he was away in the war. . .so romantic. . .they are baby blue on white and the sheets are so soft you feel like your floating in them! I’m going to display the pillow cases in my guest bathroom as it,too,is all French blue & white.

I have a penchant for old linens, these are lovely.

Sounds like you’re one busy girl! I love your idea of doing one thing for your honme a day – I may take that on here. Perhaps today I’ll clean the floors…nah, I think I’d rather re-arrannge the furniture! lol

p.s. Yes, peonies are pretty easy to grow – it only takes a couple of years for them to get really big too so make sure you leave them enough room to expand…:)
