It’s easy to get lost
Hi all, I’ve been away for a couple days, (away from my computer that is) so I can’t wait to catch up and surf! This is a website that features tons of new trends and fads. I found myself milling around for longer than I care to admit. But it was fun! Now back to work!!
Here are some silly and funky happenings…

Thank You Lotus
I love Donny Deutch. Tonight he highlighted the Lotus Home Cleaning System, a product that charges ions in water to produce the world’s most powerful cleanser. Charging the water creates an EPA approved cleanser that is 100% organic, stronger than bleach, kills 99% of germs and iS MaDe oF WaTeR!! Every other cleaning product is bizarely unnecessary….anyway if we could get rid of all our toxic cleaners, imagine what would happen! Now if only we could get rid of those spritzing room air ‘freshners’!
Nothin but blue skies
Hi there, i hope everyone had a gorgeous Earth Day! Mostly I worked but had the door open and what a tres belle jour it was
I did get to spend a little time outside in Washington Square Park, and a twilight stroll to dinner in Union Square. 70 perfect degrees. now it’s cold again! i can’t wait for hot nights and summertime!
For EarthDay, i have some resolutions: to change all my lightbulbs (uhg), drink less bottled water, use recycled paper products and pass along cool info about being green. Please do the same! I know mine are not at all radical. I’d love to know more about solar power and vegetable oil for my car! What else?? What are you doing?
California Dreaming
I’m finally heading back to Cali! It’s been far too long. (years?!) Last time was to work on my new book. Going through my pics I found some low res images of some of the great places we’re using. The first thing I have to do is reshoot. Can’t wait to see what these ladies have done since these shots. What a luxury to have a backyard. Here in New York the outdoor space is such a rarity. A woman came into my shop with a twiggy tree that had a couple of tiny orangey brown balls on it. She said was a kumquat. Funny how in CA you can have orange trees in your own yard! What a different life, I can’t wait to get back!!! I just booked the ticket to Long Beach, so I’ll be shopping LA , SanFran, and any place in between, consulting, and looking for great boudoirs and vignettes for my book. What about yours?
Hunting and Gathering Inspiration
We were supposed to get slammed by a noreaster today so most of my day was spent indoors. I guess it put me into a bit of a funk, but i did manage to surf without guilt and found some real gems.
This photo was taken by Cory Amaro and is on her blog, Tongue and Cheek at http://willows95988.typepad.com/tongue_cheek/
She was generous enough to let me use the pic and it really raised my spirits. Check out her other pics, she’s an amazing photographer. I bookmarked a couple of other great places today so check to the right for new additions.

we just got out first thunder and lightning….
It’s just different in Florida
ahhh…i love shopping in miami. all of south florida, really. you find the greatest stuff! Not that you NEED a headboard with an 8 track in it, or a bottle opener with painted fingernails!!
In the Spirit
i’m back in miami for my birthday weekend. it’s such a retreat from new york here and sure does appeal to my mininalist side. there is so much going on down here at any given moment: markets, auctions, exhibitions!
as as dreamer i couldn’t help looking at real estate, loving the idea of a waterfront place…it’s just heaven on earth. but the hurricanes! you have to be able to give it all up in a second. what a way to live…but what a place to live in while you’re livin
ok one more
i admit i didn’t watch the whole thing yet (i’m at the airport and it’s skipping), but i do love her bed, not to mention that joie de vie!!
