Marie Antoinette 1939
I’m still into any film about MA and the original is a real beauty. Have there been films about Madame de Pompadour or Mme DuBarry? Maybe their stories aren’t as interesting as MA’s? I would have to think there was SOME drama worth mentioning and documenting….maybe not everyone thinks that the creation of the high style of Baroque and Rococo is fascinating, but I sure do!

Hi. I myself am an immense fan of MA, mostly because I love the female fashion of that period. Alas, my greatest love goes to the seductive mistress, Madame du Barry. I have by now done more than 20 original designs which I would sometime wish to use for a movie I hope would be made about her.
As for movies, I have both MA (Norma Shearer & Kirsten Dunst), along with around 5 documentaries. And yes, there are movies, both in French, regarding Madae du Pompadour & Madame du Barry. Madame du Pompadour is a 2006 starring Helene de Fougerolles, and the Madame du Barry movie was made back in 1954, in colour, starring Martine Carol. I own them both ;-D…if you would like to speak to me directly, use this email address…
